1. Promoter
The promoter of this competition is Santa's Lapland ("the Promoter").
Santa's Lapland is a brand name of Hotelplan Ltd (company number 350876), whose registered office is at Nelson House, 55-59 Victoria Road, Farnborough, Hampshire, GU14 7PA.
2. Eligibility
• Open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland aged 18 years or over.
• Employees of the Promoter, their partners or friends, associated companies, agencies and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
• No purchase is necessary. There is no entry fee to enter this prize draw.
• By submitting an entry to the prize draw, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. In the event of a conflict, these Terms and Conditions take precedence.
3. Competition Period
• The competition opens at 00:01 GMT on 9 November 2026.
• Entries close at 23:59 GMT on 4 December 2026.
• Entries received after this time will not be accepted.
4. How to Enter
1. Entrants must visit the official Santa's Lapland Instagram or Facebook page during the Competition Period; and
2. Search the comments sections of selected recent Santa's Lapland posts for hidden Santa emojis (🎅) from the official Santa’s Lapland Instagram or Facebook page; and
3. Count the total number of hidden Santa emojis; and
4. Comment your answer on the official Santa’s Lapland competition post published on Instagram or Facebook.
5. Entry Restrictions
• One entry per person, per platform. Entrants cannot enter using their own account on behalf of someone else
• Participants may enter once on Instagram and once on Facebook.
• Multiple entries on the same platform, either directly or with the use of any automated systems, will be disqualified at the Promoter's discretion.
• Entries that are incomplete, inaccurate, automated or otherwise deemed fraudulent will not be accepted.
• No responsibility will be accepted for entries that are lost, delayed, mislaid or damaged in transit due to circumstances outside the Promoter's reasonable control, including equipment failure, technical malfunction, or systems, network, server, computer or device hardware or software failure of any kind.
• Entries not in accordance with the rules, including entries containing false or misleading information, will be void and will entitle the Promoter to exclude the entry from the prize draw.
6. Prize
• The prize consists of one (1) £100 Smyths Toys E-gift card.
• One winner will be selected from all correct entries received across both Instagram and Facebook.
• The prize is non-transferable. The winner cannot exchange it for cash or an alternative prize; this does not affect the Promoter's right below to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if required.
• The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value if required.
• The prize winner is responsible for ensuring that their platform account remains accessible for the duration of the prize draw and for a period thereafter to allow for communication to the winner.
7. Winner Selection
• One winner will be selected on 5 December 2026 using a random number generator from all eligible entries that correctly identify the total number of hidden Santa emojis.
• The winner will be contacted via direct message on the platform through which they entered within 7 days of the competition closing.
• If the winner does not respond within 7 days of being contacted, declines the prize or is found to be ineligible, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
8. Social Media Disclaimer
• This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram or Smyth’s Toys.
• By entering, participants acknowledge that they are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Facebook or Instagram. Entrants acknowledge that Facebook and Instagram have no responsibility for the prize draw and, to the extent permitted by law, release Facebook and Instagram from any liability in connection with it.
9. Data Protection
• We will treat all personal data as confidential. We will keep it on a secure server and fully comply with all applicable privacy regulations and consumer legislation. • Personal information supplied in connection with this competition will only be used for administering the competition and fulfilling the prize. This may include a participant's social media username and, for the winner only, their name, email address and any other contact details reasonably required to deliver the prize.
• Personal data collected as part of this competition will not be used for direct marketing purposes, nor will entrants be added to any marketing mailing lists as a result of entering the competition.
• The data protection legislation and privacy information described above apply to all personal data processed in connection with this competition.
10. General
• The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence about that decision will be entered into. This does not prevent communications necessary to administer the competition or fulfil the prize.
• The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the competition where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case or anticipation of, suspected or actual fraud).
• The Promoter will not be responsible for entries which are not successfully completed or received due to a technical fault, system failure or other technical problem outside the Promoter's reasonable control.
• The Promoter and its associated agencies, companies and distributors will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained in connection with this prize draw or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
• If you have opted-in to receive further information or marketing from any of the Promoter’s agents or suppliers involved in the administration of this prize draw, you understand and accept that the relevant third party will be solely responsible for processing of your personal data for these purposes, that such processing will be governed by the terms of that third party’s privacy policy and that the Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability in association with any such data processing for these purposes.
• Acceptance of these Terms & Conditions is addressed in Section 2.
• If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms & Conditions or if the Promoter believes that your conduct may be unlawful or otherwise bring the prize draw into disrepute, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to make your entry void and will entitle the Promoter to exclude you from participating in the prize draw.
• This prize draw and all issues arising out of it shall be governed in accordance with English Law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
