Gielas Family Bedrooms (Type D)The Gielas family bedroom has 2 single beds and a double sofa-bed, which is suitable for 1 grown-up or 2 children. You'll have an en-suite bathroom (bath with shower attachment), sauna and a balcony.SLEEPS 2-4 -
Gielas Family Bedrooms (Type E)More spacious than a Type D with 2 single beds and a double sofa-bed, which is suitable for 1 grown-up or 2 children. You'll have an en-suite bathroom, (bath with shower attachment), sauna and balcony.SLEEPS 3-4 -
Kontio Premium Suite (Type L)These Premium Suites are really spacious with a separate dining and living room area to the bedroom. There are two single sofa beds for the children and floor to ceiling windows looking out to the wilderness. The suite has a sauna and private en-suite bathroom with shower.SLEEPS 2-4 -
Kontio Deluxe Bedrooms (Type M)These spacious deluxe bedrooms are located in the Kontio building, close to the main Tunturi restaurant, bar and reception. You'll have twin beds and a sofa-bed that fits 1 adult or 2 children, along with a sauna and private en-suite bathroom.SLEEPS 2-4 -
Kontio Suites (Type N)These suites are roomy (bigger than the deluxe bedrooms) and stylish. You'll have twin beds and then in a separate room there's a sofa-bed for 1 adult or 2 children. The suite also has a sauna and private en-suite bathroom with shower.SLEEPS 3-4
Experience the Gielas and Kontio within the Santa’s Hotel Tunturi
The Gielas and Kontio rooms are located in separate and more recently refurbished areas of the Santa's Hotel Tunturi. They are each in their own buildings just a short walk from the main Hotel Tunturi building, which is home to the reception, bar and restaurant.
The main Hotel Tunturi building is where guests will be served their buffet breakfast and 3-course buffet evening meals. For guests staying in the modern Kontio building, it's actually just opposite this main building, and guests in the Gielas building its around 100 metres away, so very convenient.
The Gielas building is also home to its own bar and lounge area with a fireplace, perfect to cosy up in after a day of adventures outside.
The hotel is in an ideal location within Saariselkä and there are plenty of tobogganing options around you. It's also right next to the National Park, which is perfect for family walks and spotting the Northern Lights.

A full programme of activities including husky sledding, a reindeer sleigh ride and a private meeting with Santa - all included as part of your holiday.
We'll provide you with a thermal suit, thermal outdoor boots, woollen socks and thermal mittens to keep warm in snowy Saariselkä.

Free child places are only available on selected 2026 and 2027 Santa's Magic departure dates on a first-come, first-served basis. The free child place applies to the basic holiday price only, not including room/airport supplements, meals, extra activities etc, which are payable in full.
